Can you tell this trip was full of fun things? We were excited while we were home to see our friends Clint and Jen from chiropractic school. They graduated last year and are living in the same ward as my grandma in Portland! They came to my parents house for New Year’s Eve. We had fun catching up, hearing about the real world outside of school, and playing Killer Bunnies. Jacey, Broden, and Carly had fun playing too. Then, just a few days later they came to Dan’s parents house and stayed the weekend. We went to Seattle for a day and showed them around. It was fun for us too, because we haven’t done the touristy Seattle things since we left 4 years ago! We rode the ferry over from Bremerton (brrr..), had lunch at Ivars, did Pike’s Place (too bad there was no fish throwingL), Space needle, etc. Then we went home, left the kids with a babysitter and went to have yummy seafood at The Lobster Shop with Dan’s parents. Dallas seafood just doesn’t compare! It was a fun weekend, and we hope to make those more regular with the Demaris family when we’re back and settled!
