Goodbye Brimhalls!

Saturday was a typical summer day at the pool for us. Well, not quite typical, because usually Dan has to be at school or studying while the kids and I play, but Saturday he took the day off. It was a lot of fun. We went and swam with a lot of our friends, as we got together for a goodbye party for our friends the Brimhall's. Zeke is graduating from Parker, and they are moving back to New Mexico before they have their baby. It's strange to know they won't be on the other side of the wall (they've been our neighbors for the last year and a half), but it's also fun to see people graduate! It gives us hope that school really does end, and one day that will be us!

It was a great day for swimming though. Broden had his first trial run in a floatie. He loved it, but we decided he probably isn't quite ready for it yet. He still needs a little more practice sitting up so he doesn't slump over in the water. But with Dan close by, he was having a great time! He's definatly a Texas baby, getting an early start in the pool. He loved it the first time we put him in, and didn't even mind that the water was freezing. Jacey is still our little fish, or in her words "mermaid". Her new tricks this year are "swimming like a mermaid" (which just means holding her breath and swimming with her face in the water), jumping in and trying to touch the bottom of the pool (our pool doesn't get very deep) with her toes before her life jacket brings her back up. We just discovered a great sprayground/pool here in Lewisville that Jacey loves, with a waterslide and all. We'll try to get pictures of them at that up here soon!
